The Bible says that it is God who works in our will to help us do what He wants us to do. Read Philippians 2:13. You don’t need to rely on yourself. God knows your weaknesses, struggles and desires. A Prayer For Obedience
Dear Lord,
Please help me read the Bible every day. Help me think of You first thing when I wake up. I want to learn to hear and recognize Your voice in prayer and everyday life. Help me seek You in truth and let me find You.
Work in my heart and will so that my desires will align with Your will and plan for my life. Show me clearly what You want for me and help me accept Your it. Give me the courage to take the responsibility You give me, and let me trust You even when the path is not clear to me.
Lord, strengthen me when I am scared or weak and remind me to look up to You for help in prayer.
Help me not to fall into temptations but to focus on You and You only. Where I have disobeyed and sinned, I pray for forgiveness and redemption. Have mercy on me and help me overcome my sinful nature.
I want to build my life on Your firm foundation, so that when the rains come, my life will remain standing so help me Lord, in Jesus, name.
